David T. Hodges is co-founder of the law firm of Edwards & Hodges LLP. He is a native Texan who migrated to Maryland and then Georgia. David graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics in 1991. David earned his law degree from the University Of Florida College of Law and became a member of the Maryland State Bar in 1998. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is admitted to practice immigration law in all 50 states.
Prior to attending law school, David worked on Capitol Hill for a U.S. Senator and addressed veterans’ issues during the 1992 presidential campaign. During his employment with the Senate, David addressed numerous immigration issues ranging from immediate relative petitions to business related immigration matters. David has worked for several national law firms in the area of products liability, medical malpractice, and environmental law as a member of their respective litigation teams. David’s experience as a litigator compliments his immigration practice as he represents clients before the Board of Immigration Appeals, Federal Courts and Administrative Appeals Office.
Since forming Edwards and Hodges LLP, David has focused on resolving complex immigration matters ranging from nonimmigrant visa petitions to family-based applications. David is active in the community. He teaches English as a second language to Spanish speaking adults and gives presentations to various groups on emerging immigration issues.
In his spare time, David enjoys biking and traveling. Most recently, he revisited Thailand, Hong Kong and Ireland.
